No. Vehicle availabilities change every day (some times every hour). We try our best to keep our website updated, but it from time to time, it may happen that; between the moment when you placed your request, and the moment we order your vehicle; the car is no longer available. You will be then offered two choices:

• Another vehicle, you accept and pay or are refunded the price difference 
• A full refund. Refunds may take up to 21 working days to appear on your account balance, depending on your bank.

Temporary Transit is a highly beneficial tax and customs free car rental provision that allows anyone residing outside EU territory to rent and operate a new vehicle during their stay in Europe without paying from customs duties and VAT.

Temporary transit enables you to register your vehicle in France and circulate freely throughout Europe.

• A broad based European presence pick-up and drop-off centers, in France and throughout Europe.

To take advantage of the Tax Free programm, for your holiday in Europe you must meet the following conditions :

• You hold a valid driving licence.
• You live in France’s overseas departments/territories or outside the European Union.
• You have spent less than 180 days in European Union countries over the past 12 months.
• You do not have a remunerated activity in a European Union member state.
• Leave the European union at the end of your stay

Any person satisfying Temporary Transit requirements can purchase a new vehicle tax-free.

TT contracts run for six months maximum. The lenght of the Tax Free contract is fixed to a maxium of 165 days for deliveries to cities elsewhere in France and for deliveries in Europe and 175 days for deliveries to Paris City and Orly and Roissy airports from the date of delivery of the car.

To be eligible, you must be :

• a TOURIST.
• a RESIDENT of a European Union member state waiting for relocation to a state outside the European Union.
• a STUDENT living outside European Union or in a French overseas department/territory and who is studying in France.
• An INTERN completing an internship or assignment and whose usual place of residence is outside European Union or in France’s overseas departments/territories.
• Any person whose usual place of residence is outside European Union or in France’s overseas departments/territories and who is completing his/her national service in France.

Students can benefit from Temporary Transit terms and conditions for up to 12 months, non renewable. The twelve months run from the date on which the vehicle registration certificate is registered and not from the date of vehicle delivery Citroën only:

• They must also be over 21 years old and hold a driving licence for more than twelve months.

Those who can drive the vehicle are:

• The contract holder (his/her name is written on the vehicle registration certificate)
• The spouse, descendants, direct ascendants of the contract holder provided that they fulfill the same conditions of obtaining temporary transit registration as the contract holder.

Important: It is impossible to add or change a name on the vehicle registration certificate or on the international automobile insurance card.

Remark: To drive in Europe, it is necessary to be at least 18 and possess a valid and definitive driver's license and valid in the countries traveling in.

We accept Visa and MasterCard Credit cards only. A bank transfer is also accepted.

Due to administrative procedures, bookings must be made at least 3 weeks before the delivery date of the car.

• In France the delivery and return of the vehicle is free (as well for Geneva)
• In the rest of Europe, fees vary according to the country.and maker.

All vehicles delivered in France will contain a roadside safety kit.

You may add accessories when making your order (Volkswagen excepted).

The price of the accessories will be included in the prices shown. Accessory orders must be mentioned in the order forms and may not be made after vehicle delivery.

No, if you do decide to buy this equipment at your own expense, you must return the vehicle with the original tires.

We will be waiting for you at the time and place chosen for your delivery, as indicated on your order form.

Note: For appointments without flight information, we will wait for you a maximum of 30 minutes after the appointed time. In case of a flight change or appointment time change, it is imperative to inform your delivery center.

Note: Only the contract holder (his/her name is written on the vehicle registration certificate) or his/her spouse or partner carrying a proxy form, can take delivery of the vehicle.

No. Pickup must take place at the Centers listed on our website. All vehicles are supplied at airports or train stations per customer travel arrangements.

► RENAULT: All cancellation taking place until 31 days before the delivery date: no cancellation fees
All cancellation taking place between 30 days or less before the delivery date: 300 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker
All modification received less than 24 working days before the delivery date will be charged 300 Euros VAT Free by the maker

► PEUGEOT: All cancellation taking place until 22 days before the delivery date: no cancellation fees. All cancellation taking place between 21 days or less before the delivery date: 300 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker
All cancellation of a registered vehicle: 700 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker

►CITROEN:

Cancellation Fees

   - Unregistered vehicle: 50 € VAT Free will be charged by the maker
   - Registered vehicle: 700 € VAT Free will be charged by the maker

Abandoned vehicle:

- If the vehicle is abandoned in the same city as the delivery center:

• the client will be charged all expenses engaged for repatriating the car plus annex fees (parking, storage, etc.), charged by Citroën Champ de Mars

ABANDONED VEHICLE

If the vehicle is abandoned in a city other than the delivery center:

• other than the annex fees, the client will be charged 400 € if the vehicle is abandoned in France and 600 € if the vehicle is abandoned in another country

All modification received less than 29 working days before the delivery date cannot be treated.

Phone TT Car Transit at least 4 workdays before the end of your contract. This service is available Monday to Friday (except French holidays) from 9am to 5pm.

You will then be informed of the extension fare.

The contract cannot be extended beyond the end of the validity date on the vehicle registration certificate.

You can purchase the TT vehicle; a great deal for yourself, a friend or family member which takes into account the duration of use under the Temporary Transit agreement.

• Legal fees
• Driver warranty

• Fuel mistakes
• Flat tires
• Loss of the car keys
